Eco-Safe Candles for a Fresh Scented Home
October 25th, 2007 Jenny
I grew up around people who adored candles and loved collecting them, as well as burning them to make the house smell nice.
So naturally, that is what I have begun to do. I’ve also gotten my husband into it, but don’t tell him I told you. Hehe.
Lately I have been looking for some new candles because I’ve gone through all the ones that I’ve gotten for myself to burn and stink up the house, and I found this great website for a candle company based in my old home state of Vermont. I received some sample products from them at my request so that I could share this great way of natural candle making with you, the readers.
First off, they smell great. I have shared the samples with my mom and in-laws and they love them as well. My favorite has to be the Sweet Dreams candle, made to smell like lavender, lemongrass, and marjoram. They also come in the coolest holders and jars. That in itself isn’t unusual, but I’ll tell you why these candles are special. The candles themselves are 100% biodegradable, safe and non-toxic. So we can make the planet a little happier knowing they won’t leave behind harmful chemicals like some other candles do. They also contain no dyes so that nothing bad is released into the environment, and that my friends is why they come in such pretty packaging (as seen in the image above). ![]()
The candles also come in a whole variety of scents and styles. From seasonal to every day use. They really are a great way to make your home smell nice and save the earth a little more all at the same time. Visit them today and see what they have to offer.

My mom used to collect different candles; shapes, sizes, smells. Then she collected angels. We still have the candles, but we don’t use them much.

Oooo I might have to request a sample myself.
My new house has funky smells–don’t ask, I have no idea where they are coming from. It’s like a musty basement smell. Still in the process of cleaning, but in the meantime, those candles (or any!) may do the trick. Thanks for sharing =)
And yeah… I WISH I got some royalties paid from the costumes lol. Too bad it’s not that easy to stand up and say “HEY! That’s MY IDEA!”

Eco friendly stuff is getting more and more important these days. We love candles so it’s a nice fit. I like your site, it’s a refreshing theme. And it happens to be my favorite colors…the colors of my nursery years ago.
