Lego Indiana Jones

Lego Indiana JonesI was waiting for this game for about two months before it came out. I already had Lego Star Wars and I was really enjoying it. When I saw this, I just about died. It’s an adorable game. You go around as Lego Indie and go through the adventured of each movie. Yes, all three movies are in this game. I also found this game a lot easier then Lego Star Wars. Maybe because there are three less movies to play and there aren’t as many vehicle modes. I can’t play racing games to save my life. It’s got some interesting things to it as well. When you finish the normal game play and make it through all three movies, and unlock the extra characters with each level, you can go back and play the Free Play mode to unlock and collect different things that you couldn’t get before since you have characters made specifically for those areas. It’s pretty awesome. To show you a bit of the game, here is a trailer for it that came out last year:

The game is nothing like this trailer shows but it’s pretty damn close. I think they made this before they even thought about anything in the game. ;) But check it out. You and/or your kids will love it.

Share Your Story of Change and Life

Have you ever wanted to redo yourself? Has something happened to you in your life that makes you want to fit the occasion? Well, Artefill is holding a Makeover contest that will give you a chance to win a $10,000 makeover.

I’ve recently wanted to give myself a little makeover. Ever since I had my son, I’ve been looking a little homely. Being home every day and having no where to go has made me a little…self unloving. Lately I’ve been wanting to look better and be healthier, but I’m having kind of a hard time with it. It’s really hard to get yourself together though after you’ve had children. I know this doesn’t apply to everyone, but if this happened or is happening to you, I know exactly how you feel. But I try to make myself has nice as I can and be as happy as I can with how I look. But I think I could use some help here and there with it. :) Kind of like support.

So when I saw this contest I thought, hey! Why not enter and see if I can win and get that help that I’m looking for. Entering is easy. It’s for women 35 and/or over. All you have to do is share your story of a recent or upcoming change in your life. If the judges like your story, you’ll have a chance to win the $10,000 makeover as well as:

  • Consultation and ArteFill treatment* from a leading physician
  • Other aesthetic treatments and products as recommended by the physician
  • A professional photo shoot including hair, makeup and wardrobe styling
  • A feature on our web site

So check out the contest today. And share your story with other women as well as let them share theirs with you! Share Your Story of Change and Life

* Subject to physician’s determination of suitability for ArteFill treatment

WP Theme: Scrappy

WP Theme: Scrappy

I made yet another wordpress theme. But I’m selling this one for a mere $50.00. It took me about…a week to put together? I think it’s worth that much, don’t you? If you really want it though, we could talk about a price if $50 isn’t good for you. :) And I’ve also made a page for the themes I make. You can find that here. You’ll find this one in there as well. So check it out.

Thinking About Life Insurance

We’ve been looking into life insurance lately. Don’t ask me why. I think it’s because the hubby has been talking to a buddy of his about it for a bit and now he’s seriously pondering the idea. So while I’m doing some research on the internet, I see a thing for Term Life Insurance and I think about the baby and what it would cost to get him covered. Because you can never be to careful, you know?

Children are fragile things. Believe me. I know. We’ve all been there ourselves when we were kids, and we parents are going through it with our own kids now. But when you think about some of the stuff I’ve seen on the news about the horrible accidents (although not all of them are actually accidents) that happen to children. And it got me thinking. Were they covered? Are their families set to take care of things for them? Knock on wood, hopefully nothing like that happens to my little man, but it’s something to really think about. For that just in case deal.

Right now as I speak (or type I should say), I’m looking at the Term Life Insurance quotes. Doing some more of my all finding research. Always do research when you‘re dealing with this kind of thing. It’s the smart thing to do. But anyway, for a decent amount of coverage, $35,000 to be exact, it would only cost us about $25.00 a month. And when he’s 21, the coverage doubles to $70,000. And the great part about all of this is that even though it doubles and the amount goes up, the payments stay the same. And that’s awesome because I don’t think we’d ever be able to afford anything more than that.

I highly recommend looking at insurance if you haven’t already. You never know what may happen. And if you want to use the service I’m looking at now, you can get your Term Life Insurance Quotes here.

Get Road Ready This Summer

There is going to be a lot of traveling going on this summer, what with kids going away to camp, or families going to visit relatives in other places and all. So GetRoadReady.Com has everything you might need to get you and your family ready for the that long road trip you have ahead of you! Check out the informational video below to get an idea of the things they have available and how you can use them.

When we got our items from the website, my husband went nuts. He couldn’t get them out of the box fast enough. He especially loved the wipes we got. The baby is always making some kind of mess in the car, so now he has something to clean it all up properly with. He’s the driver of the household at the moment since I don’t have my little piece of plastic that says I can get behind the wheel.

We also got some activity pages for the baby to use when we’re on the road. Stuff from coloring pages, license plate games, to naming the capitals of each state. But there is more on the site that you can print out and take with you, so if we ever run out, we can just hook up the printer and get more. It’s that easy.

GetRoadReady.Com makes it easy for moms (and dads) to get everything ready and keep your sanity at the same time. I love it and I think I’ll stick with them if I ever need anything for our family trips, especially the one we’re taking later this month when my sister has her daughter.

Essentials of Looking For a Web Host

If you’re a work at home mom like me, you may also have struggled with finding reliable web hosting. Well, over the years (and many headaches later), I’ve come up with a checklist of essentials that your web host must have before you even consider working with them.

1. Excellent Reliability.
There is nothing more frustrating than finding out your website is down, and has been for hours. Although no time is a good time to have your site down, the timing can be just terrible. That sinking feeling when you’ve purchased advertising and you know the ad is about to be sent out and
you go to your website for last minute touches and … it’s down.

That is not cool. That is not acceptable. You must make sure that the web host you select not only has good reliability, but superior reliability. This is your business on the line, not some hobby site. Treat it as such and get hosting that works for you when you need it. But, you can’t just trust a website that says they are reliable. Make sure they can prove it.

2. Superior Customer Support.
When you do need help, make sure that your hosting will provide it. One thing I recommend is to contact support to ask a simple question about the hosting, before buying. That will give you an idea of what the customer service is like before you make a commitment. Yes, customer service has a difficult job – making sure they do not confuse less-experienced customers, yet, at the same time, also making sure not to talk down to the geek types. However, you should never feel like you are a “bother” or that your question is not as important as anyone else’s.. or worse, dumb. You should find a web host with superior customer support.

3. The Stats You Need.
Several of the most popular hosts do not offer the web stats that every online business needs. You may not think that you need stats, but, how else are you going to know what is working – and what is not? You need stats that tell you where your visitors are coming from, how long they are staying, and which pages they are coming in and going from. Does your web host offer that? If they have a CPanel as their control panel, they do. Find a web host that uses a standard CPanel.

4. Affordable.
Why spend more if you don’t have to? When looking for a web host, price is always a factor. So, shop around and make sure that the web host you decide upon offers a great price.

5. Room to Grow.
The web host you choose should offer unlimited hosting. This means, that, if you add more websites to your package down the road, the price does not increase drastically for each one. Many online businesses start with one site and grow over time. Can your host grow with you?

6. Bandwidth and Disk Space.
Also, make sure that the host you choose is in the ballpark for bandwidth and disk space. Most programs offer approximately the same amount, but, especially if you plan to add a lot of audio or video, be sure to look into this, as well.

7. A History of Happy Customers.
New hosting companies are popping up daily. Some are being run by a couple of teenagers in their garage. Obviously, that’s not who I want to entrust my business to. Do you? I want to know that the company I’m choosing has been around a few years, and has a history of happy customers to show for it. I don’t think that’s too much to ask, and you shouldn’t either.

Those are the key features that any web host should offer before you consider doing business with them. Choosing a web host can be more important than any other decision you make in your online business – if you choose wrong. So, take the time and find a web host that will work with you, and help you to succeed.

Amy Soesbee is owner of E-Starr Hosting - www.E-Starr.com where you’ll find the host that offers everything a work at home mom needs – reliability, unlimited hosting, and customer service that never makes you feel intimidated — all at a price you can afford.
