Eco-Safe Candles for a Fresh Scented Home

I grew up around people who adored candles and loved collecting them, as well as burning them to make the house smell nice. :) So naturally, that is what I have begun to do. I’ve also gotten my husband into it, but don’t tell him I told you. Hehe.

Aromatherapy CandlesLately I have been looking for some new candles because I’ve gone through all the ones that I’ve gotten for myself to burn and stink up the house, and I found this great website for a candle company based in my old home state of Vermont. I received some sample products from them at my request so that I could share this great way of natural candle making with you, the readers.

First off, they smell great. I have shared the samples with my mom and in-laws and they love them as well. My favorite has to be the Sweet Dreams candle, made to smell like lavender, lemongrass, and marjoram. They also come in the coolest holders and jars. That in itself isn’t unusual, but I’ll tell you why these candles are special. The candles themselves are 100% biodegradable, safe and non-toxic. So we can make the planet a little happier knowing they won’t leave behind harmful chemicals like some other candles do. They also contain no dyes so that nothing bad is released into the environment, and that my friends is why they come in such pretty packaging (as seen in the image above). ;)
The candles also come in a whole variety of scents and styles. From seasonal to every day use. They really are a great way to make your home smell nice and save the earth a little more all at the same time. Visit them today and see what they have to offer.

The MomAgenda Desk Calendar

momAgenda Desktop CalendarI got my MomAgenda desk calendar the other day and I have to say that I have found it extremely useful. As we all know, agenda’s and calendars are meant to keep us as organized as possible. But this one likes to keep me extra organized. It has some nice features in it as well. It has pages that are good for party-planning, vacation planning, and of course the calendar itself. What I like most about the calendar is that it’s sectioned off so it allows you to keep your dates and your children’s dates separate, but everything is on the same page. You can also write your kids names in the boxes given so that they each have their little sections for their individual dates and events. In my old book everything got cluttered and squashed together, but this way, I can be more organized and my dates and events are more readable. Another neat feature is the lists of websites and phone numbers that are (possibly) essential to a mommy’s everyday need. It could also be a great resource for helping your kids with school projects. You’d have all the websites you could research on right there at your fingertips. And having phone numbers to airlines, car rental companies, and hotels is a plus as well.

I definitely like this product and recommend it to anyone who likes to stay as organized as I do. The great part is, it’s not just for moms, and they make great gift ideas for whoever you think would like/need one. So head on over to MomAgenda and check it out for yourself.

The Babysitter Memo Tile

Babysitter Memo TileWe all go out for a night together with our husbands and/or wives. If you have children, that means leaving them with a babysitter or some form of trusted adult. And with that comes the task of leaving emergency information for said “guardian” in case they need to reach you at some point for whatever reason. That’s where the Babysitter Memo Tile from PlaceTile Designs comes in. It’s outfitted for filling out just the right information you need to give such as hospital and doctor’s phone numbers, allergies and medication for the children and of course the number(s) in which you can be reached. And with it’s erasable black marker and surface, it can be used more then one or twice.

Not only is it compact, but it’s elegant and with it’s 7 inch all around square shape, it can be placed just about anywhere such as on a mantle, a shelf, a table or on a counter. It’s soft yellow color can match any decor as well, making it a perfect ornament when it isn’t being used.

I have placed this on the shelf above my kitchen sink and use it when I need to. In fact, we are having someone watch the baby tomarrow while the hubby and I go out so I’ll be filling out all the info I need the sitter to know once again. It really is a very handy tool and I’m sure never to forget anything that needs to be written down for him. I give this product five stars in my book. Grab yours today!
